The events dedicated to gamification<\/em> applied to tourism and culture continue in Alghero! The next appointment is on 1 December<\/strong> from 10 a.m. in the spaces of Lo Quarter<\/em> with Gamification, tourism and cultural heritage: new strategies for enhancing territories<\/em>, a moment of meeting and sharing to explore the theme of gamification<\/em> as a tool for enhancing cultural heritage<\/strong> and innovating the tourist experience<\/strong> of visitors and citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, designed, promoted and organised by the Municipality of Alghero<\/strong> and the Alghero Foundation<\/strong>, will focus in particular on the #PLAYALGHERO experience, the path that the city has started within the European project Med Gaims \u2013 Gamification For Memorable Tourist Experiences<\/a>, funded by the Eni Cbc Med Programme 2014-2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does discovering an area through play<\/strong> contribute to its tourism development? Does transforming<\/strong> the tourist and heritage experience into a playful activity<\/strong> favour the development of audiences<\/strong>? These and other issues will be at the centre of the debate that will see the participation of game designers at national and international level, invited to explore the role of gamification applied to tourism and cultural policies<\/strong> through the presentation of best practices<\/strong> and innovative projects<\/strong> in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#PLAYALGHERO has enabled the creation of ten analogue and digital games <\/strong> inspired by Alghero's cultural heritage. During the course of the day, the creators will present the games and support those who wish to test the experiences now available to visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the initiative is in fact to stimulate discussions<\/strong> between start-ups<\/strong> and game designers<\/strong> with cultural enterprises<\/strong>, institutions, and organisations active in the tourism and cultural sector<\/strong>, interested in exploring strategies for tourism and audience development through gamification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
